Screaming Sky
Screaming Sky Gallery: new owner, new look.
When Screaming Sky Gallery changed hands a few years ago, the new owner wanted to make changes. More local art, vinyl records, and adding his personal stamp on the place – so the focus became creating a new visual identity without losing the value of the existing name.
The business needed a logo design that was fresh but classic, with artistic flair and a pop culture sensibility for its high-traffic Portland hipster neighborhood.

Solution:
After working through a number of options inspired by the business name, the contents of the store, and the owner’s personality, we struck on a design referencing his own heavily tattooed skin: a classic swallow tattoo, with a screamin’ beakful of lightning bolts.
We spent the next weeks developing exterior and interior graphics, business cards, and a social media presence.
